Where to stay during the safari
The most convenient option by far. The RV park is located at the west end of Mountain Valley Airport, steps from the flight line. It has approximately 30 spaces with water and electrical hookups, restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. Tent camping is also available.

Tip: Book early. Summer is peak season and spaces may fill up, especially with 15 glider pilots descending on the field.
Tehachapi is about 3 miles from the airport. All of the following are well-reviewed and offer clean rooms, free parking, and proximity to restaurants.

Located on Hwy 58, close to restaurants and shopping. Pool and hot tub are a welcome perk after a long day in the cockpit. Free hot breakfast included.
A reliable choice with good reviews and solid amenities. Centrally located in Tehachapi with easy access to downtown restaurants.
If you want to cook some of your own meals during the week, this is a good option. Suite-style rooms with kitchenettes are ideal for a longer stay.
A solid budget option in the heart of Tehachapi. Pet-friendly if you're bringing a crew dog.
Airbnb and VRBO both have listings in and around Tehachapi. This can be a good option if you want more space or are sharing with another pilot. Search for "Tehachapi CA" on either platform. Some properties in nearby Bear Valley Springs and Stallion Springs offer mountain views and more room, though they're a bit further from the airport.
